  • Glove Size Guide

How to measure your hand for gloves

    • If you don’t have a flexible measuring tape, wrap a piece of string around your dominant hand at its widest point between the knuckles and the thumb, and mark where the ends meet. We advise you measure your dominant hand as this is normally slightly larger.
    • Lay the string flat on a ruler and measure the length (the circumference of your hand) to find your size.
    • Compare the measurement from the measuring tape or ruler to our conversion chart to find your glove size.
    • If you are between sizes, round down to the nearest half or whole number - unless you are buying sheepskin gloves, in which case round up to the nearest half or whole number. This will be your glove size.

  • British made since 1777

Determined, daring and fearlessly creative. When John Dent set up his business, little did he know how popular his luxury leather gloves would become with monarchs, movie stars and style mavens - not forgetting millions of others around the world.

Starting from a small wooden house in Wood Street, Worcester, Dent’s innovative spirit, creativity and belief in quality craftsmanship set a new standard for glovemaking. Dents quickly became synonymous with British made luxury gloves.

John’s values and legacy live on at Dents, informing the way we think, act and make gloves and accessories today. Our methods still draw on the hand and eye of the true craftsman. Overseeing every stage of production from choosing and cutting the leather to quality control enables us to maintain our exacting standards.  It’s our way of honouring John’s commitment to craftsmanship and creating the best designer gloves and accessories.

    The Dents difference

    Truly authentic

We stay committed to our values. Where other manufacturers have adopted mechanisation, mass production and offshore manufacturing, Dents Heritage Collection gloves and accessories continue to rely on the hand and eye of the true craftsman.

    Made in Britain

Quality is everything to us. All our Heritage Collection leather gloves are British designed and made in our custom built Warminster factory. Heritage Collection accessories are also designed and made in the UK

    Recognised worldwide

We expanded overseas long before other glovemakers. In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, Dents built factories across Europe and opened sales offices and warehouses in cities such as Paris and New York. Dents continues to supply the world’s leading retail stores.

    Ethical and sustainable

Dents was producing sustainable fashion long before the term was coined. All Dents gloves are made from the highest quality ethically sourced leather and are stitched to perfection, enabling them to last for decades when cared for properly..

    Tuned-in to trends

From runway trends to wardrobe staples, our talented team of designers and craftsmen work together to create traditionally crafted gloves that are as practical as they are stylish.
